The Cast Iron Radiators Association was created in 2016 by the leading manufacturers and retailers of Traditional Radiators in the UK. The Cast Iron Radiators Association is a non profit company limited by guarantee. Our members are the leading Manufacturers and Retailers of Cast Iron Radiators in the UK. The Objectives of the Association are:
To promote the benefits of Traditional Radiators in the UK
To define and enforce best practices in manufacturing and testing of Cast Iron Radiators assembled in the UK.
To define and enforce a code of conduct for manufacturers and retailers of Cast Iron Radiators in the UK.
To oversee and manage a peer review and arbitration process amongst member companies and applicant companies.
The Cast Iron Radiators Asociation manages and specifies the standards required of our Chartered Manufacturers. Chartered manufacturers all agree to the following:
Complying in full with the British Standard for Testing and Assembly.
All Castings are CE approved and registered with the Cast Iron Radiators Association.
Use of Gaskets from the Cast Iron Radiators Association approved list.
Minimum of 10 year guarantee.
Submission to the Cast Iron Radiators Arbitration process where customer concerns are raised.
The Cast Iron Radiators Association manages and specifies standards required for retailers to display the CIRA Chartered Retailer Mark. Chartered Retailers all agree to the following:
Standard industry leading terms and conditions.
Respect the intellectual property of other retailers and manufacturers.
Respect the integrity of all chartered retailers and chartered manufacturers.
Submission to the Cast Iron Radiators Arbitration process where customer concerns are raised.
The Cast Iron Radiators Association was created by the leading manufacturers of traditional radiators in the UK to promote and build confidence in cast iron radiators.
All Chartered Manufacturers and Retailers of Cast Iron Radiators and all applicant companies submit themselves to the arbitration process as managed by the Cast Iron Radiators Association.
Arbitration cases which are confirmed as valid are passed to other chartered companies to make recomendations. The panel of experts will make a judgement and recomendations independently and to all parties.
